Yummy Hummus Dip

A dip that's easy and flavorful...the perfect combination!

Need a quick appetizer to take to a friend's house? Or a game day snack that takes only minutes? Tired of the ubiquitous tired tub of hummus sitting on the table?

This recipe looks great with white, red and green and it packs lots of flavor.

The briny olives, tangy feta, sweet red peppers and creamy hummus elevate this dish. And it can be assembled in under five minutes.

A cracker's best friend!

I like to serve it with an assortment of crackers, thick corn chips and veggies. It's great for vegetarians, but appeals to everyone.

So what is hummus?

It's a combination of ground chick peas, olive oil, lemon juice, garlic and tahini paste. Tahini is like peanut butter made with sesame seeds. Hummus is healthy but doesn't scrimp on flavor.

Yummy Hummus Dip

Recipe Ingredients

1 tub of hummus

4 oz crumbled feta

¼ c chopped green olives

¼ c roasted red peppers (chopped) or jarred chopped pimentos

1T olive oil

Preparation Instructions

  1. Spread hummus in the center of a large plate.

  2. Cover with crumbled feta.

  3. Center green olives in the middle. (I use a biscuit cutter over it and put the olives in there so they make more of a circle.)

  4. Then take roasted red peppers and place them around the olives, leaving a strip of white feta showing around the outer edge.

  5. Drizzle lightly with olive oil.

  6. Serve with crackers or chips for dipping.
