Tastiest Turkey Burger Ever!
Sometimes you just want an upgrade -- whether it's at a hotel, on an airplane or when having a burger. Most people wouldn't think of a turkey burger as an upgrade on a juicy beef burger, but that's because they haven't tried our Top Notch Turkey Burger.
We upgraded the patty, the bread, the spreads and even the greens on this one. We promise you'll crave this one as much as any beef hamburger. It's chockfull of ingredients that enhance the turkey, rather than overpower it -- capers, green onions, parmesan cheese, Dijon and garlic.
Instead of a sometimes ho-hum hamburger bun, we substituted two slices of eggy brioche bread and then grilled them. Instead of plain mayo, we opted for spinach dip. Peppery and healthy arugula stands in for limp lettuce. See what we mean about upgrades!

For turkey patties:
2 lbs ground turkey
2 T mayonnaise
1 T Dijon mustard
1/2 T fresh dill chopped
1 clove garlic chopped fine
1 T capers chopped
1 1/2 t salt
1 t pepper
1 T Siracha
3/4 c green onions
1 egg
1 c parmesan cheese (ground in a food processor)
For assembling each sandwich:
1 T store bought sour cream spinach dip per sandwich (We used Trader Joe's Sour Cream Spinach Dip for ours)
2 slices brioche bread per sandwich
1 T butter for grilling bread
1/4 c fresh arugula for each sandwich
1 cooked turkey patty
1 T oil oil and 1 T butter to cook two patties
Preparation Instructions
1. In a large bowl, add all ingredients for patties.
2. Use two forks to mix well and keep the turkey mixture fluffy
3. Pat out 6-8 turkey burgers, depending on the size you want.
4. Brown brioche slices on both sides in a toaster or in a pan on the stove. (Remember, brioche may brown more quickly than regular white bread.)
5. In a skillet or pan, heat butter and olive oil together until hot.
6. Add 2 turkey patties and cook on medium heat for 3 minutes.
7. Cook on other side until brown for about 3 minutes.
8. Flip one more time and cook for a few more minutes.
9. Meat needs to be thoroughly cooked and at 165 with an instant read thermometer. Time will vary depending on the size and thickness of your patty.
10. To prepare sandwich, slather the spinach artichoke on two grilled brioche slices.
11. Place cooked patty on top of bread.
12. Add arugula and top with other piece of bread that has been coated with spinach dip.
